Our Home
A quick tour around Mitchells of Chester
The house, built in the 1850’s, has steeply pitched slated roofs, a sweeping staircase and many tall rooms with moulded cornices, providing a setting for items of antique furniture. A large banqueting table forms the centre piece of the Dining Room.
The Lounge looks out and down to unusual brick vaults tunnelling 3.00m under a quiet well maintained garden to the rear of the house. It has reading and video libraries each side of an open log fire in an original marble surround.
The Guest bedrooms have been individually decorated, furnished in period style and include a fully equipped shower room and toilet. They have individually controlled central heating, colour t.v., refreshment tray, hair dryer, clock/radio, sewing and shoe cleaning accessories. We have a wireless Broadband internet connection for Guests' use. Extra blankets are provided and an iron and ironing board are available.
There is a wide menu for breakfast, ranging from Continental to Full English. Vegetarian and special diets can usually be accommodated by prior arrangement.
